Consecration and Ordination Candidates to be Confirmed or Elevated

Deacons and Deaconesses

  • Male: Black suit, white shirt, black tie, black dress shoes
  • Female: Black skirt suit, white shirt or shell, black shoes

Ministers/Evangelists and Elders:

  • Male: Black suit, black clergy shirt, white ministerial collar, black shoes
  • Female: Black skirt suit, black clergy shirt, white ministerial collar, black shoes

Clergy Ceremonial Attire

Pastors

  • Male: Black suit, blue clergy shirt, white ministerial collar, black shoes
  • Female: Black skirt suit, blue clergy shirt, white ministerial collar, black shoes

Bishops

During the Consecration and Ordination Service, candidates being confirmed and elevated will sow a special sacrificial offering.

Giving amounts are provided below.

    • Deacons and Deaconesses: $25 sacrificial offering
    • Ministers and Evangelists: $75 sacrificial offering
    • Elders: $100 sacrificial offering

 

GETTING YOUR LEADERS ORDAINED AND CONSECRATED — HOW DOES IT WORK?

1. Have your leaders download the Leadership Assessment Form. 

2. Have leaders fill out the Leadership Assessment form and return to Pastor or Administrator.

3. Schedule individual sessions with your leaders to review their Assessment Forms.

4. Ensure that the approved leaders take the Leadership Examination.

5. Grade the exams – candidates should achieve 70% or better.

6. Submit the names of your leaders who are being confirmed or elevated.  Please ensure that they are registered for the Inaugural National Convention.

7.  Have your approved leaders attend the Ordination and Consecration Orientation Class and rehearsal (insert date /time).

NOTE: A final set of Leadership Examination questions and instructions for how to submit the names of your leaders being ordained / consecrated will be emailed to all Churches United Pastors by Sunday, June 12th. If you do not receive the email, please contact Churches United at [email protected].

PREPARING FOR YOUR LEADERS TO BE ORDAINED AND CONSECRATED

GETTING YOUR LEADERS ORDAINED AND CONSECRATED — HOW DOES IT WORK?

2. Have leaders fill out the Leadership Assessment form and submit to you or a designee for review.

NOTE: A final set of Leadership Examination questions and instructions for how to submit the names of your leaders being ordained / consecrated will be emailed to all Churches United Pastors by Sunday, June 12th.

3. Have your leaders take the Leadership Examination.

4. Submit the names of your leaders who are being confirmed or elevated.  Please ensure that they are registered for the Inaugural National Convention.

5.  Your approved leaders should show up at the Ordination and Consecration Orientation Class and rehearsal.

6. They should attend the Ordination and Consecration Service in ceremonial attire and bring their sacrificial offering. They are welcome to invite family and friends to be a part of this awesome occasion!

STEP 1

DOWNLOAD THE CONSECRATION PACKET ITEMS

The Consecration Packet includes 2 parts (1) Leadership Assessment form (2) Leadership Examination Study Guide. Have your leaders fill out the Leadership Assessment form and submit to you or a designee.

STEP 2

HAVE LEADERS COMPLETE AND SUBMIT THE LEADERSHIP ASSESSMENT FORM TO YOU OR A DESIGNEE.

Provide your leaders with instructions concerning your process for administering the Leadership Assessment forms and Leadership Examination.

STEP 3

SUBMIT NAMES OF LEADERS TO BE ELEVATED

Senior Pastors will receive information via email by Wednesday, June 8th concerning how to submit leaders’ names for ordination and consecration.

STEPS 4 – 5

ENSURE YOUR LEADERS ATTEND THE REHEARSAL AND ORIENTATION – AND ARE PREPARED FOR THE CONSECRATION SERVICE WITH THEIR CEREMONIAL ATTIRE AND SACRIFICIAL OFFERING.
