We are excited about all of the ministry leaders in Churches United who are being consecrated and ordained. We believe this spiritual elevation of Deacons, Ministers and Elders is a significant Kingdom moment and is going to not only transform leaders, but will position the local church for greater Kingdom impact!

GENERAL INFORMATION

Friday, July 26, 2024

2:30 pm – 3:00 pm – Ecclesiastical Impartation to Leaders / Elevation Service Walkthrough

3:00 pm – 6:00 pm – Break

6:00 pm – 8:30 pm – Ordination and Consecration Service

Consecration and Ordination Candidates to be Confirmed or Elevated

Deacons and Deaconesses

  • Male: Black suit, white shirt, black tie, black dress shoes
  • Female: Black skirt suit, white shirt or shell, black shoes

Ministers/Evangelists and Elders:

  • Male: Black suit, black clergy shirt, white ministerial collar, black shoes
  • Female: Black skirt suit, black clergy shirt, white ministerial collar, black shoes

During the Consecration and Ordination Service, candidates being confirmed and elevated will sow a special sacrificial offering. A special sacrificial envelope will be used for this purpose. All sacrificial seeds should be given via cash only.

Giving amounts are provided below.

    • Deacons and Deaconesses: $25 sacrificial offering
    • Ministers and Evangelists:$75 sacrificial offering
    • Elders: $100 sacrificial offering

 

GETTING YOUR LEADERS ORDAINED AND CONSECRATED — HOW DOES IT WORK?

1. Have your leaders register for the Churches United Convention 2024

2. Have your leaders download the Leadership Assessment Form.

3. Have leaders fill out the Leadership Assessment form and return to the Pastor or Administrator.

4. Schedule individual sessions with your leaders to review their Assessment Forms.

5. Ensure that the approved leaders take the Leadership Examination.

6. Grade the exams – candidates should achieve 70% or better.

7. Submit the names of your leaders who are being confirmed or elevated via email to [email protected] by July 12, 2024. Please ensure that they are registered for the Convention before submitting.

8.  Have your approved leaders attend the Impartation to Leaders / Ordination and Consecration Walkthrough on Friday, July 26th at 2:30 pm.

NOTE: A final set of Leadership Examination questions and instructions for how to submit the names of leaders being ordained / consecrated will be emailed to all Churches United Pastors by Friday, May 24th. If you do not receive the email, please contact Churches United at [email protected].

General Attire for Leaders and Clergy 

Deacons/Deaconesses, Ministers/Evangelists, Elders, Pastors and Bishops attending the Elevation Service should wear the ceremonial attire specified below:

Deacons and Deaconesses

  • Male: Black suit, white shirt, black tie, black dress shoes
  • Female: Black skirt suit, white shirt or shell, black shoes

Ministers/Evangelists and Elders:

  • Male: Black suit, black clergy shirt, white ministerial collar, black shoes

Clergy Ceremonial Attire

Pastors

  • Male: Black suit, blue clergy shirt, white ministerial collar, black shoes
  • Female: Black skirt suit, blue clergy shirt, white ministerial collar, black shoes

Bishops

  • Male: Black suit, purple clergy shirt, white ministerial collar, black shoes
  • Female: Black skirt suit, purple clergy shirt, white ministerial collar, black shoes

FOR LEADERS PREPARING FOR ORDINATION AND CONSECRATION

Step 1. Register for the Churches United Convention 2024

Step 2. Download and complete the Leadership Assessment Form

Step 3. Submit the Leadership Assessment Form to your Pastor or Administrator and follow their instructions concerning the Study Guide and Leadership Examination.

Step 4. If selected for ordination/consecration, ensure you have the required ceremonial attire and sacrificial offering prior to the Ordination and Consecration Service. Refer to the General Information Section above.

Step 5. Attend the Impartation to Leaders / Ordination and Consecration Walkthrough.

Step 6. Participate in the Ordination and Consecration Service in ceremonial attire and bring your sacrificial offering. Be sure to invite your family and friends to be a part of this awesome occasion!
